Youth Week 2022: Update

Kia ora

The Youth Week team is getting super excited for Youth Week 2022 – Our voices matter and we deserve to be heard. We are sad to farewell our Youth Week Director Shannan and mihi to her for the five amazing Youth Weeks she has run in her time with Ara Taiohi! We wish her all the best for the future. The team is in the process of dreaming and planning for 2022.

The poster competition will not be happening this year, but grants will return in early 2022. We’ll keep in touch these details and all the other great opportunities that are coming up as we approach Youth Week 2022 and get to celebrate the young people of Aotearoa together.

In the meantime, make sure you have Youth Week marked in your calendars for next year: 7 – 15 May, and start some kōrero with your young people about how they might want to celebrate in 2022!

You can download the Youth Week Outlook calendar event here.

Message from Shannan:

Kia ora ora Youth Week whānau,

I am very grateful for the opportunities both have gifted me to connect with y’all.
I’ll be tuning into ALL the socials to check in on all your epic #youthweeknz activities in May 2022 and
? I’ll get to pop along to a couple!

Tēnā rawa atu koutou ❤!
