In 2019 to 2020 Ara Taiohi collaborated with Jennifer Braithwaite in relation to her mixed methods research on youth participation in non-governmental organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Jennifer analysed data from our 2018 survey on youth participation then carried out interviews with adults and focus groups with young people from Ara Taiohi member organisations that had been identified as youth participation best practice exemplars. Jennifer’s research was part of her Masters in Social and Community Leadership at the University of Auckland and her thesis is now available online: https://hdl.handle.net/2292/54188.
