Your Story Matters is creative space where rangatahi can express themselves through creative mediums. Our second event will be an expressive afternoon, this will be a place where you can tell your story through art, words, and dance through any for you choose. We will have four different styles that you can try out: Art, Spoken/Written Word, Movement and NZSL- whatever works for you! There will also be a space to try out and express yourself through sign language with some of our staff. This will run in a workshop structure; you can come with an idea if they have one- some lyrics, some artwork, choreography or another creative practice (no pressure to have anything prepared though!). Youth workers will be there to help you develop these ideas. You will also have a chance to share what you’ve created if you want. 12th May, 3.30pm-6pm, Dinner is provided.
