Stage 2 is our youth led music event at Shore Junction. A chance for young people to showcase to their peers and the wider community what they have been working on. The purpose is not only to entertain but also to promote a sense of community among young people and to encourage them to work together towards a common goal.
The activities are achieved during Stage 2 are many and varied.
Musical Performances: The show includes musical performances by student bands or solo artists. This provides a platform for these young artists to perform in front of a live audience and gain exposure.
Workshops: Stage 2 will start with a 1 hour Workshop with an industry mentor (MazbouQ) who will cover performance techniques and feedback on performance styles. This can be an excellent opportunity for young people to learn new skills and gain experience in the music industry.
Collaborations: Stage 2 is also an excellent opportunity for young people to collaborate with each other and create music together. This is done through both group performances and by encouraging young people to form bands and perform together.
Promotion of local talent: The concert can be used to promote local talent and provide a platform for young artists to showcase their music. This can encourage more young people to get involved in music and provide a way for them to share their talents with the wider community.
The concert will be on Saturday 20th May from 2pm to 5pm
