He Tūhono Whakapakari Tinana

In celebration of Youth Week coming up at the end of the month and with the generous support of Sport Canterbury's Youth Activation Fund our VOYCE team are running four tūhono events over the month of May! He Tūhono Whakapakari Tinana is a series of events all about moving your body, learning a new skill and connecting with the environment. Tamariki and rangatahi can sign up for as many events as you'd like to attend – but get in quick as some events have capped numbers. All activities are free!

Sign up yourself or your tamariki/rangatahi via this link: https://forms.gle/Fvgzsiy6hgFo6peZ8
If the above link doesn’t work, or you have more than 3+ people to register, please RSVP to mahalia.pilgrim@voyce.org.nz.

Here's what you can get involved in:

Hikoi Time – Saturday 11th May
First up this Saturday is a hikoi/hike with our KWM Lauren and Luke! Meet at the VOYCE office at 9am and get out on an adventure. Morning tea provided.

Māori Games + Weaving 101 at Te Ora Hou – Friday 17th May
Join us at the office (77 Windermere Road Papanui) for some Weaving 101 and some kemu (games) – all ages welcome (and I hear there's going to be a mean boil up!)

Waka Ama – Saturday 18th May
We've got some Waka Ama lined up with Te Waka Pounamu Outrigger Canoe Club on Saturday morning 10am-12pm – rangatahi come have a go!

Whānau Scavengar Hunt at the Travis Wetlands – Friday 24th May
Lastly join us for a whānau-friendly Scavenger Hunt around the Travis Wetland Walk on Friday 24th May – great for tamariki (and there will be prizes)!
