GIG STARTERS x MOST FM x NZ MUSIC MONTH

All in one HUI / WORKSHOP / GIG
MOST FM in partnership with Gig Starters Aotearoa and APRA/AMCOS NZ, will be hosting a hui at 5pm on Wednesday, May 17, with a crew of industry professionals, a local recording artist and a production technician, who will be discussing the need-to-knows of putting on your own all ages gig.
After the hui will be a soundcheck / workshop, with the chance to watch and be part of a live production set-up.
And then in at 7pm, it’s gig time! We’re lucky to have rising local stars GREENBATHING performing plus special guests.
The Panel or ‘Crew’ as we like to call them for the hui for this event are
Rodney Fisher – Special Projects and Events Manager for NZ Music Commission, Solo Artist, and front person for Goodshirt.
Victoria Girling-Butcher – Solo Artist VGB and band member or the legendary Dave Dobbyn
Gig Promoter – tbc
Kerry Smith – Local New Plymouth based sound engineer, and musician who is prominent in the Taranaki music scene. Kerry has worked in a large number of New Zealand arts festivals throughout the country and a highlight from that was working as front of house at the Gables Stage for WOMAD since its inception. For 5 years, Kerry ran Avalanche Audio Studio and for the last 3 years has been in charge of production and programming at The Most FM.”
