Thank you to Ara Taiohi and Vaka Tautua. It is our first ever celebration of Youth Week. We thought to start by naming our event: "Fa'atasi Mai" which means all together – it amazingly aligns with our Youth Week Theme! As young pasifika with disabilities, we tend to forget what makes us, "us" when we're so focused on our physical appearances. So at Vaka Tautua, we will be hosting a fun-filled cultural evening which will include various stalls that represent different islands to remind our younger generation the fun side of our homelands!
Maori – Poi Making
Samoan – Siva Samoa, Ula Lole making
Tongan – Talanoa (Faka'apa'apa, Religion, Values)
Fijian – Myths & Legends
Niuean – Crafts
Cook Island – Ei Katu making & so much more!
Vaka Tautua wants to let the community know our services are for ALL ages!
