I am a NZ born Niuean, born and raised in West Auckland. I am married with 2 young children aged 6 and 3. I studied at University of Auckland completing my BA (majoring in Education) and Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary).
I have practical experience in the Alcohol and Drug sector working in the early prevention space. I was also fortunate enough to be part of a team that delivered a programme working with families who are affected by Mental Health and Addictions. I have been in the Youth Sector since 2012 and am currently the Senior Practitioner in the YWiSS Team running the Check and Connect programme in schools. I am passionate about working with youth and appreciate all the learnings I have gained over the years in the different roles I have been in. I feel more rounded in my practice because of the different spaces I have been in.
The key principals in my supervision framework include Purpose, Identity, Warmth/Respect and Reflection.
