Silja has been working as a counsellor & social worker since 1999 in The Netherlands & in New Zealand. Silja now works full time as a counsellor and supervisor in private practice.
Silja is passionate about supervision and the support it offers professionals in their work and ongoing development.
Working in a wide variety of health and social sectors enables Silja to support with more in depth knowledge in for example the areas of anger management; family therapy; health and disability issues; parenting; child protection; problem gambling and other addictions; relationships; age related problems; abuse, specifically sexual abuse; asylum seeker & refugee issues.
Through transfer of her knowledge and experience, gained through work, study and ongoing professional development, Silja is able to successfully assist people even in areas she herself hasn’t worked in.
