After 20 yrs working within kaupapa Māori organisations, I help bring Māori worldviews and understandings of tikanga and kawa from a non-maori perspective, as well as working within a Whānau Ora framework.
My experience in supervision and adult training can support staff in Registration requirements (RNs, SWs etc), clinical and professional care, social services, support work and any one else “working with people”.
I bring a combination of experience working within, Mental Health and Addictions, acute mental health, mental health residential, community case management, dementia care, gender diversity and the LGBTQ+ community, Domestic Violence…. as well as, engagement and outcomes, and ethical or challenging issues.
This, combined with a willingness to learn and remain open to changing contexts helps me to best engage and support staff through reflection, narratives and strength based solutions, I facilitate a process for staff through a collaborative and trusting relationships.
