Supervision is merely a relationship of understanding, the understanding of how emotions counter-act with your practice you provide as a service to Youth within their ever-changing surrounding Environment.
Talofa Lava, I have been working in the Youth Development Sector for over 18 years and what I have learnt is that behaviour of Youth is fluid, as their environment changes, Youth behaviour changes (every 3-6 months). Therefore, you as a practitioner must be fluid and be open to the change to impact those you serve.
I want to help those who serve. I have worked within many areas of the Youth Sector from Youth Homelessness, Youth Benefits (YP/YPP WINZ), Youth NEET (MSD), Youth Disability, Youth Housing, Residential Care (sections 101,78,238) , Youth Programmes in Schools (all age groups), Youth Justice (Whakatakapokai), Youth Education (PTE & Alt Ed), Rainbow Youth, Youth Funding and Mental Health. I have participated in all Board Member, Management, Leadership and Frontline roles.
