My expertise derives from a bicultural lens of being raised whangai mokopuna (adopted grandchild), I have provided supervision mentoring others within my current role as well as with tauira (students) in tertiary education. My cultural practise interweaves with the principles of Ngã takepu of ATA-Growing Respectful Relationships by Taina Pohatu '(2013)' while also using my own model of practise Pãua '(2020)' in which this solely focusses on strengthening, valuing and nurturing the connections to whanau, hapu and iwi to uncover solutions that are uplifting to enhance you. Pãua is a model that nurtures the past and the present to heal for the future, and I believe that the answers come from within to reveal solutions to tautoko (support) you in uncovering these for you to progress and grow. I am open to sharing a safe space with and for you to support you revealing the answers the lie within and if you think I would be beneficial to work with you, please feel free to contact me. |
