Kia ora koutou, ko Gill Stacey toku ingoa. My name is Gill Stacey and I was born in England. I moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in the early 1990’s and I now live in Palmerston North with my husband. We have 7 children and about 12 grandchildren between us!
In my life and work I draw from my own life experience having travelled extensively and lived fully. I aim to live simply and make a contribution to this rich and beautiful world. I believe we all have within ourselves and our communities, everything we need, to live a rich and meaningful life.
I am committed to promoting kindness, empowerment, equity, change and diversity. I work with any adult with any issue affecting their wellbeing and have a wealth of personal and professional experience and training to draw from. I am committed to my ongoing development of bi-cultural awareness in my life, work and practice.
I have over 30 years experience of work with young people in a wide variety of settings as a former UK trained psychiatric nurse, social worker and counsellor in tertiary, social services and NGO settings.
