I am a registered nurse and am now working for myself providing professional supervision. My nursing career has seen me working for many years in mental health, including adolescent rehabilitation, Child and Family Unit, Maternal Mental Health, and Mental Health for Older People. I have also worked in palliative care and several years as a community mental health nurse. I completed my supervision training in 2008. In my supervision, I use a curious approach with sensitive questioning, constructive criticism, and gentle challenging to engage in deeper reflection. It brings me great joy and satisfaction to see the benefits supervision can bring to people's lives. Supervision is not about being given the answers, it is about being helped to find our own solutions to our own problems.' |
