Kio Ora Koutou, My name is Emma Hamilton, I am a registered social worker with ~13 years experience, working in Specialist Mental Health and Addictions. I live in the beautiful Muriwai/Waimauku area coming from a strong farming background, and whakapapa to Ngai/Kai Tahu - Te Waipounamu. My professional experience is in Child and Youth, Early Psychosis Intervention, Adult and Rural Mental Health, and leadership. I have a post grad certificate in Professional Supervision. Using my therapy based background, I have a strong emphasis on engagement, self care and understanding/identifying transference and counter-transference.
