I am a Registered Social Worker. I have and continue to work with a wide range of people. I have spent most of my working life working with people and families who have found themselves experiencing emotional, financial and practical difficulties which impact on wellbeing, self-esteem and their potential.
My supervision approach is strength based and solution focused. I am interested in people and value hearing a person’s story, their hopes and their goals.
My hope is to work in a way to equip you to do your work to the best of your ability.
I will ask courageous and curious questions and help sort through the challenges that get in the way. I want to encourage you, and I will support you to hold hope for others.
I am originally from the UK, and I understand the migrant story of immigration/ relocating and re-establishing myself. I love the diversity of New Zealand and will always seek to be respectful and honouring of you, your values and belief.
I have my own experience of a neuro-diverse condition. I have a lived experience where my strengths were not how I was described in my youth. I therefore believe it's really important for us as workers to search, name and celebrate the strengths of our future leaders.
