My background consists of working with children and families in various settings as a preschool nursery nurse, moving on to retrain as a social worker working with a social services agency then more training to work as a tertiary teacher of various Child Care courses. Moving to New Zealand 16 years ago I decided to up skill my cultural knowledge and completed my BSW.I have social work experience of working for a statutory organisation in the child protection field for over 8 years, as well working in various NGO’s.I was a clinical lead to a team of social workers, counselors, and youth workers.I have over 30 years of experience in the social services field.Presently I offer external supervision, and also work as a therapist/counsellor under ACC sensitive claims working with women who have been sexually abused who can also have complex addiction and mental health issues.
