Celebrate Youth Week 2025 – Whai Wāhitanga: Take Our Place with an epic afternoon of creativity, connection, and hands-on fun!
Join Youthline Southland, Citizens Advice Bureau Invercargill, and the Invercargill Public Library for a drop-in event where you can:
Add your voice to our Youth Week Graffiti Wall, themed around what it means to Take Our Place – Whai Wāhitanga This is your chance to be creative and have your work displayed at the Block Takeover alongside other murals made by rangatahi from local schools.
Make your own mirror, badge or keychain with our badge maker – take home something unique and totally you.
Jump into the virtual world with the library’s VR Tilt Brush (ages 12+), and create your own 3D art masterpiece.
Enjoy free snacks and chill with other awesome young people.
This is a relaxed, inclusive space open to all youth aged 12–24. Come on your own or bring your mates – stay for five minutes or hang out all afternoon. It's your space, your voice, your place.
